Nordstrom squeezes the duo’s most riotous beats through the speakers. It’s a reminder Nadastrom aren’t just pushing 21st century dance music toward the edge – they’re jumping off it.

The D.C.-born, L.A.-based duo of DJ-producers come from different
backgrounds, but share a ravenous appetite for extremes. As the prime architects of Moombahton – a sound Nada invented on the fly at a basement party by slowing Dutch house music down to the tempo of reggaeton – the duo have been praised in the pages of Spin and Rolling Stone, pumped on the airwaves of BBC Radio 1 and NPR, and revered at nightclubs and festivals across the planet.

Nada was born in Maryland, a first generation Ecuadorian-American
surrounded by five brothers and the sounds of cumbia, Ecuadorian folk, salsa, merengue and reggaeton. As a teen, he gravitated toward
Washington’s legendary hardcore punk scene, playing in bands while
learning to DJ on college radio. A move to Baltimore landed Nada in
the second surge of Baltimore club music, where he DJed alongside club
icons K-Swift, Rod Lee and DJ Technics, while producing acclaimed club
tracks of his own.

Nordstrom grew up in Virginia on the other side of the Washington
beltway where skateboarding provided a contact point with punk, metal
and hip-hop. In the late ‘90s, he swapped the skateboard for
turntables and switched his college major from psychology to audio
engineering. Soon, Nordstrom was the resident engineer for esteemed
D.C. house heroes Deep Dish and piloting recording sessions with the
likes of Stevie Nicks and P. Diddy, even scoring a Grammy nod along
the way.

When Nada and Nordstrom came together in 2007, the chemistry was
instant and the music was colossal. The group signed to Switch’s
Dubsided label where their debut debut EP, “Pussy,” immediately topped the charts on Beatport. Since then, Nadastrom have produced tracks for a slew of artists, including Kid Sister, and have done remixes for Kid Cudi, Benny Benassi, Christina Aguilera, Waka Flocka Flame, the Death Set and Alex Clare.

In 2010, the duo relocated from Washington to Los Angeles and hit the road, performing at the biggest festivals in dance music, including Australia’s Creamfields festival with Deadmau5, the Disco Biscuits’ Camp Bisco festival, Bass Island with Bassnectar, the Mad Decent Block Party with Major Lazer and the HARD Festival in Los Angeles with Ducksauce, Chromeo, BoysNoize and Odd Future. This fall, Nadastrom joins Skrillex and 12th Planet for more than 50 nights on the hotly anticipated Mothership Tour.

Meantime, Moombahton has become a movement of its own, with Nadastrom serving as the genre’s leading ambassadors. Diplo’s Mad Decent label dropped the acclaimed compilation “Dave Nada presents Blow Your Head Vol. 2: Moombahton” in May and Scion released Nadastrom’s Moombahton EP “El Baile Diabluma” this fall.

Ruckus is also involved in the founding of a new super group of Chicago talent, Tripp Syndicate. The Syndicate features the roaring bass of Nameloc, the terrifying mic ripping MC Anti and the diabolical DJ skills of Ruckus ripping up 4 decks.
2010 allowed for ventures into the business side of bass music. Ruckus holds down the A&R duties of major North America dub step label: Betamorph’s drum step venture while also maintaining the status of the labels head DJ
What’s next for this multi talented man? Be on the look out for more insane events with an ever growing crowd of fans. A little late in the game, but Persephone is no stranger to the electronic music scene. Introduced to the rave culture at the young age of 14, it didn’t take long for this girl to fall head over heals in love with bass music. Breakdancing circles around kids in the drum n bass scene for over 10 years, it was no surprise when she met dubstep she fell in love all over again. Dancing wasn’t enough for her anymore so she bought a pair of decks and taught herself how to spin records and launched a successful promotional company called “DubQueen”. She recently started going to school at Full Sail University to get her Bachelors in Music Production. With the success of her company and bookings left and right, there is no sign of this goddess stopping anytime soon.

Kool Hersh began his musical endeavors in his hometown of St. Louis as a young dj part of the rising hip hop scene of the 90’s and early 2000’s. By playing numerous residencies around town and many years working at record stores/record dealers, Hersh refined his chops and amassed a large collection of vinyl ranging from rare funk 45s, hip hop, breaks/samples, to disco and dance 12’s. After college, Hersh left to Chicago with the aim of broadening his musical repertoire and to play different genres music including disco, deep house, electro, and other genres which at the time were not well received in his hometown focused on classic hip hop and top 40.

While in Chicago, Hersh has djed numerous residencies including his own successful monthly party known as SOLID GOLD playing everything from classic disco to uk funky and everything in between. Brent Tactic

Brent Tactic is one half of Tactic, a dj & production team made up of Ben Tactic and Brent Tactic. The pair started working together in 2002 and immediately began to build on the success of their individual music careers. Ben’s background is based in electronic dance music and he cut his teeth playing warehouses, lofts and clubs all over the Midwest. Brent experienced great success in the hip-hop scene and split his time between djing and running an independent hip-hop label. The two found common creative ground with the burgeoning music scene that ignored genre boundaries. Their focus became the best possible music from a broad cross section of club culture. Their 4 turntable dj sets blur the line between hip-hop, electronic and club music to get everyone’s asses shaking.

Tactic has proven just as productive in the studio as they are in the club. Sigrah

Ben Hargis AKA ‘Sigrah’ born and raised in Kansas City, MO, has been a musician since the early age of 10 years old. As a percussionist at heart, he has played in numerous acts and side projects throughout his musical career, but it wasn’t until late 2007 when he first touched a turntable and began playing bass orientated EDM.

Having a keen ear for rhythm, his mixing skills quickly progressed and he was eager to prove so. With the support of local veteran DJs, he began to branch out and explore the world of bass music, rinsing anything of quality, and has made a presence while doing so.

Participating in the numerous ‘SUPERB!’ bass parties produced by Think 2wice and Lotus Camp, he has brought many flavors of bass music to the table including 2-step, UK Funky, Mushroom Jazz, and Moombahton.

Long ago an asteroid collided with the earth making the surface uninhabitable, so we went underground, the only place we couldsurvive.
